“Lace and Favour are a gorgeous online wedding emporium”

If you’re not already familiar with the brand, Lace and Favour are a gorgeous online wedding emporium who offer a wide range of stunning pieces. Their beautiful collections will ensure that they take the hassle of finding the perfect accessories for your big day away from you, so you can get back to focusing on that list of tasks that need doing before your wedding.

As a bride-to-be, discovering Lace and Favour has meant that I can now find the perfect gifts for my bridesmaids and shop for my own jewellery, shoes or venue decor in one place. This has undoubtedly helped to restore my previous relaxed deposition, whilst also ensuring that planning is exactly as it should be – fun!

When Lace and Favour asked me to review their stunning Belmont earrings and necklace, it naturally got me thinking about the bigger picture, namely how one could incorporate this season’s hottest trend – rose gold – into all of the individual aspects that help to make your day unique and a true reflection of you both as a couple. The versatility of rose gold means it can be paired with navy for a winter affair or blush pink tones for an alfresco summer wedding.

So, if you are seeking both a feminine and luxe ambience for your special event, then keep on reading as I will be sharing some of my favourite ideas from decor to bridesmaids, from cakes to invitations and last but not least my very own pieces from the Lace and Favour jewellery collections.

    Colour Scheme

If you are considering colour schemes for your wedding, then Pinterest is the perfect place to start. This is especially true if you are thinking about incorporating rose gold as it is a colour that can be combined with several primary colours – creating an ambience that is unique to you as a couple and also for the season or location of your venue. Whether you are seeking to create a sophisticated, elegant or glamorous affair, this is a colour scheme that can easily be incorporated into your whole day. I personally love the traditional blush and rose gold combination, as it is incredibly pretty and adds a touch of sparkle.

    Invitations

Your wedding stationary is your guests’ first glimpse into your wedding day and also enables them to gain a better understanding of your style as a couple. Whether you decide to create your own or hire an expert, if you are having a rose gold colour scheme, then you are spoilt for choice when it comes to invitations. From a subtle hint on your guest book or table plan to glamorous glitter envelope folds. Another great thing about rose gold is that you can create a sophisticated feel to your special day and still keep to your budget.

    Bridesmaids

When it comes to those special ladies in your life, there are so many options out there from gold sequined dresses, blush dresses with rose gold embellishments or perhaps navy dresses with rose gold accessories and shoes.

If you have recently attended wedding fayres, or flicked through the latest bridal magazine, then you would have noticed that metallic copper and rose gold cakes have continued to grow in popularity amongst grooms and brides. The great thing about this cake trend is that it is an easy way to incorporate rose gold tones into your day in a subtle way.

If you want to have a traditional wedding cake you could decorate an ivory cake with rose gold details, blush ribbons or perhaps flowers from your bridal bouquet. Another option is to make your cake a key focal point by having a sweetie table with the cake placed in the centre and surrounded by rose gold or pale pink sweets such as candyfloss, strawberry bons bons or pink shrimps. The options really are endless when it comes to sweet treats, from pastel pink macaroons, iced cupcakes, or rose gold confetti scattered on the table.

“Your accessories should reflect your personality and amplify your natural beauty”

Just like your dress for the big day, your accessories should help to reflect your personality and amplify your natural beauty. Whilst you may think “how hard can this be?”, there are a lot of factors to take into consideration when purchasing jewellery for such a special occasion. You have probably spent months trawling through the various pages of BRIDE or browsing the likes of Stella York, Maggie Sottero, Mori Lee or Essence of Australia online to help you ascertain exactly what you are looking for when it come to your dress – only to walk into a local boutique and no doubt like me purchase something entirely different. Am I right?

But selecting the right accessories can help to ensure that your bridal look is pulled together nicely and looks polished. Things to consider include your dress and its neckline, your face shape, hair length, skin tone and even your chosen colour palette for the wedding itself.

Sweetheart Necklines: If you decide to wear a statement necklace then pair it with simple studs to ensure you don’t detract from your beautiful dress. Alternatively, a short simple necklace that finishes just above where your dress neckline starts is always a safe option.

Plunge Neckline: Necklaces with a pendant are ideal for setting off this neckline and will complement your dress beautifully.

If you are like me and have a long face then teardrop or long drop earrings are ideal for balancing out your face shape. As explained earlier, your hairstyle is also something that should be taken into consideration. As a relaxed boho hairstyle that is down will hide studs, so bigger earrings are better suited. If you have a shorter neck then you can still opt for longer earrings and then wearing your hair up in a chignon can help to elongate it.

    “Radiant Rose Gold”

These stunning rose gold teardrop earrings from the Lace and Favour Belmont collection, are surrounded by twinkling pave set crystals, making them the perfect set to complement your bridal look. What’s more, the delicate design makes them ideal for presenting to your bridesmaids on your wedding morning as they also come packaged in a luxury Ivory and Co box.
