• Just a little bit more …


    Valentine’s Day/ V-Day/ St.Valentines, however you like to refer to the day of love, if there is one thing we all need to work on then it is self – love. Now I am not talking about body confidence or mindfulness. No! I am referring to those days off from work where you just focus on number one – You!

    Who else spends ages in the tub?

    After feeling a tad under weather last week, I decided that I would have a much-needed duvet day on the sofa and snuggle up with my little Polar Bear (Westie) Toby. Naturally, as a Bride-To-Be I indulge in a copy of the latest ‘Brides’ magazine which thanks to my Sister I managed to snap up for £2, as well as a dose of ‘Bride Wars’. After losing myself in all things Bridal, I broke out my ‘Lush’ goodies that my loved ones have bought for me over Christmas and enjoyed a lovely hot soak in the tub – complete and utter bliss.

    A little bride-to-be indulgence.

    I decided to conclude my day off with a nice cup of tea, fresh bed sheets and an early night.

    Here are some other ways I like to treat myself and unwind.

    • Colouring books
    • Watch on demand television
    • Enjoy a walk with Toby around my local area
    • Catch up with family and friends
    • Paint my nails
    • Listen to a playlist
    • Blogging
    • Impulse purchases – naughty but that bit more enjoyable
    • Read a book
    • Candlelit baths
    • Try out a new look/outfit/ hairstyle
    • Home cooked food
    • Have a lie in
