• THE Ivy Castle View: Guildford – Bloggers Breakfast

I have never been a morning person, but if there is one thing that I do love, then it has to be good tasting food and that is something that The Ivy Castle View Guildford serves in abundance.

When I was asked if I would like to attend their Bloggers Breakfast earlier on this month, I knew I couldn’t turn down the opportunity to sample some of their culinary delights, especially since I had already heard so much about The Ivy Castle View from several friends. So, naturally curiosity got the better of me and I found myself being rudely awakened by my alarm come morning, as you can probably guess, it didn’t take much encouragement from Al for me to get out of the warm bed, as I was already so eager to see the stunning brassiere for myself.

I was not disappointed either, from the moment I walked across the threshold, I was immediately greeted with warm smiles and five-star service that really was second to none. After being welcomed, I was led upstairs to the looking-glass dining room where I was immediately blown away by the stunning vintage prints, colourful art-deco style interior and gorgeous pendant style lighting. Every detail has clearly been refined to create an ambience of glamour.

Shortly, after taking my seat and becoming acquainted with some of the lovely bloggers at my table, I was offered a selection of fresh juices, coffee and still water. This was promptly followed by miniature pastries, butter and preserves. Our host Daniel was both attentive, knowledgeable and professional, coupled with the picturesque views overlooking the River Wey and Guildford’s historical castle it really is the perfect spot to enjoy a bite to eat day or night.

    What I had

    • Green Juice – Avocado, mint, celery, spinach, apple and parsley
    • Mini pastries with butter and preserves
    • Hot buttermilk pancakes – strawberries, raspberries, blackberries with greek yoghurt, lemon balm and warm strawberry sauce
    • Gluten-free organic granola – puffed rice, buckwheat, quinoa grains, apricot, coconut and toasted seeds with almond milk

Thank you to the general manager Daniel Murton, the talented chef Sean Burbidge and the staff at The Ivy Guildford for having us!! The food was incredible and I thoroughly enjoyed meeting all of the other lovely Bloggers at the event. Make sure you also follow these lovely ladies and gents for more gorgeous snaps of this Insta-worthy brassiere? Surely, worth a visit for the decor alone? Not to mention the buttermilk pancakes which were my absolute favourite.
