I absolutely love reading these posts, so I thought I would share with you a few of my favourite fashion and beauty purchases from May.

First up is this stunning floral wrap dress from Primark for £13 which caught my eye because of its gorgeous ruffles and Latin inspired style. Initially I was going to wear this to the Maison de Choup launch but decided to opt for jeans and a top combo due to the poor weather that was forecast for my journey up to London. However, I will definitely be wearing this in Mallorca later this year with a pair of black strappy heels.

Life is too short to wear boring clothes.

Next up is a few impulse beauty purchases. After being pampered by the lovely ladies at my local Benefit Brow Bar and Urban Decay prior to my trip up to London. I decided to invest in the following products.

Urban Decay Total Pervision duo set £22

Urban Decay All Nighter setting spray £23.50

Benefit Gimme Brow £20

The great thing is I was also given a free makeover by Urban Decay after purchasing two products, this was particularly enjoyable as I was able to attend the MDC launch looking lovely and glam thanks to the lovely Louise.

Last but not least is this stunning tribal inspired print bikini from Accessorize. I really love bright colours and the pink tassels add just the right amount of sass to complete my beach look. I will be pairing this with a big floppy straw hat and a cheeky pina colada.

These are just a small selection of my latest favourites. If you would like to see another post like this then please do leave a comment. I hope you are all having a lovely relaxing Bank Holiday.

“Overall I wanted to express positivity, the main slogan of the collection: ‘Warrior not worrier’ reflects this, it highlights our and importance of believing we are stronger than our mental health.” – George David Hodgson, Founder.

Unlike most Thursday’s, last night saw me taking a very exciting journey up to London for the Maison De Choup SS17 launch party. After getting lost in the rain, Al and I were greeted by the sounds of DJ Ordio who immediately set a relaxed vibe which was perfect for mingling.

image

Of course, that little detour to the event itself left Al and I seeking some drinks to quench our thirst. The fantastic Josh Hayes was our mixologist for the evening and provided plenty of refreshing cocktails with a twist. My personal favourite has to be the ‘Breathe’ concoction which consisted of gin, lemon, soda and fresh raspberries. Of course, I couldn’t resist the sweet flavours of gin, triple sec, lemon, sugar and a slightly different touch which included egg white – otherwise known as ‘Resist’.

image

After soaking up the atmosphere, I decided to check out George’s latest designs for his new ‘Warrior Collection’. Unlike most fashion brands Maison de Choup donate a very generous 25% of their profits to Young Minds the UK’s leading mental health charity for children and young people alike.

image

What I love most about George, aside from his amazing achievements as an entrepreneur at the mere age of 21, is his incredibly brave decision to channel his own struggles with anxiety into a project that supports those who are in a similar position to himself. Perhaps this is one of the many reasons why his desire to convey positivity through his collection has been one that he has absolutely surpassed in more ways than one. I’m sure those who attended the event and had the opportunity to meet George will agree with me when I say he is such a likeable individual who I hope goes on to do many more collections in the not so distant future.

image

As for the rest of the evening well it consisted of delicious marshmallow goodness from the delectable Mallow and Marsh, more fantastic 90’s tunes, sipping some refreshing cocktails and meeting the lovely Caitlin from Glorious Chic and Emily from The Messy Edit.

image

Sadly, all good things must come to end and after making a sneaky little purchase, Al and I stepped back out into the hustle and bustle of London before making our way back home .

Do what you love.

Get your hands on the new Warrior Collection

The Story behind Maison de Choup

The event was incredibly inspiring and I absolutely love the new collection. I feel privileged to have been invited to this event and I am very proud to be a supporter of both George Hodgson, his latest collection and Young Minds whose collaboration I think is fantastic. I will be sharing a little OOTD post featuring one of my favourite designs from the new SS17 Warrior Collection so keep your eyes open for that.

Have a great weekend.

When it come’s to 2016, it is not exactly a secret that it was one of those year’s that the majority of us would rather write off. Take show business for one, we lost so many legends from David Bowie, Alan Rickman to George Michael and Carrie Fisher.

From a personal perspective 2016 wasn’t all bad but I defiantly had a mixture of incredible highs such as my surprise engagement in Venice to Al and severe lows to being told I might go completely deaf by the end of the year.

One thing that last year has taught me is that life really is too short to stress over the little things and a great quote that I love to try to remember during difficult moments, is that “Difficult roads often lead to beautiful destinations”.

Looking back now, I think if we all take a step back we will all realise that despite life’s constant challenges and struggles, there is something good in every day however small. This year I am looking forward to getting stuck into my new job, tackling that dreaded driving test, going dress shopping, planning mine and Al’s big day for next year and blogging of course! What are you all looking forward to this year?

Happy New Year for 2017 to you all!

Initially, I decided to run a competition or giveaway on my blog, once my Instagram had reached 2,000 followers. However, I love buying presents for people and since Christmas is still a couple of months away, I decided to reward all of you lovely people with a pick n mix style giveaway. Thanks to the positive feedback that I have gained through Twitter I was able to ascertain exactly what you would all love to receive. If you want to discover exactly what is included in my giveaway then keep on reading.

image

So for the main prize I thought I would giveaway a few of my favourite things, if you already follow me either over on YouTube or have been reading my blog for quite some time, then you will already know that I am obsessed with candles, so the first thing I am giving away is this gorgeous cinnamon stick candle from Yankee candles to help get you in that Autunmal mood. Next I am giving away these cute cosy socks from Accessorize with Donuts on as I am obsessed with Krispy Kreme donuts and love my socks.

image

Whilst I was in Accessorize I couldn’t resist picking up this stunning rose gold necklace, I really struggled not to keep this for myself, as I love delicate looking jewellery and this cute compact mirror is perfect for touch ups on the go, plus its size means it will fit in your clutch for all of those upcoming parties. Of course, your going to want to update your wardrobe, which is why I am giving away a £10 Primark voucher, as you may already know, 99% of my wardrobe is Primark. I love styling high end pieces from Aspinal of London and Franchetti Bond with mainstream high street stores.

image

Last but not least I am giving away this cute little notebook with a London inspired theme, I did originally seek Parisian style stationary due to my blog title. However, sadly this was not available, so I decided London being my favourite City in the UK would be rather appropriate. I also picked up this adorable stickers just because I couldn’t resist them. I think this notepad will be great for keeping tabs on what you intend to buy your loved ones for Christmas.

image

Of course, I wanted to give my readers an extra chance of winning and so I decided to offer a runner up prize, which will be a £10 Lush voucher, so you can treat yourself to a couple of goodies either for Halloween or Christmas perhaps.
