“Lace and Favour are a gorgeous online wedding emporium”

If you’re not already familiar with the brand, Lace and Favour are a gorgeous online wedding emporium who offer a wide range of stunning pieces. Their beautiful collections will ensure that they take the hassle of finding the perfect accessories for your big day away from you, so you can get back to focusing on that list of tasks that need doing before your wedding.

As a bride-to-be, discovering Lace and Favour has meant that I can now find the perfect gifts for my bridesmaids and shop for my own jewellery, shoes or venue decor in one place. This has undoubtedly helped to restore my previous relaxed deposition, whilst also ensuring that planning is exactly as it should be – fun!

When Lace and Favour asked me to review their stunning Belmont earrings and necklace, it naturally got me thinking about the bigger picture, namely how one could incorporate this season’s hottest trend – rose gold – into all of the individual aspects that help to make your day unique and a true reflection of you both as a couple. The versatility of rose gold means it can be paired with navy for a winter affair or blush pink tones for an alfresco summer wedding.

So, if you are seeking both a feminine and luxe ambience for your special event, then keep on reading as I will be sharing some of my favourite ideas from decor to bridesmaids, from cakes to invitations and last but not least my very own pieces from the Lace and Favour jewellery collections.

Colour Scheme

If you are considering colour schemes for your wedding, then Pinterest is the perfect place to start. This is especially true if you are thinking about incorporating rose gold as it is a colour that can be combined with several primary colours – creating an ambience that is unique to you as a couple and also for the season or location of your venue. Whether you are seeking to create a sophisticated, elegant or glamorous affair, this is a colour scheme that can easily be incorporated into your whole day. I personally love the traditional blush and rose gold combination, as it is incredibly pretty and adds a touch of sparkle.

Invitations

Your wedding stationary is your guests’ first glimpse into your wedding day and also enables them to gain a better understanding of your style as a couple. Whether you decide to create your own or hire an expert, if you are having a rose gold colour scheme, then you are spoilt for choice when it comes to invitations. From a subtle hint on your guest book or table plan to glamorous glitter envelope folds. Another great thing about rose gold is that you can create a sophisticated feel to your special day and still keep to your budget.

Bridesmaids

When it comes to those special ladies in your life, there are so many options out there from gold sequined dresses, blush dresses with rose gold embellishments or perhaps navy dresses with rose gold accessories and shoes.

Cake

If you have recently attended wedding fayres, or flicked through the latest bridal magazine, then you would have noticed that metallic copper and rose gold cakes have continued to grow in popularity amongst grooms and brides. The great thing about this cake trend is that it is an easy way to incorporate rose gold tones into your day in a subtle way.

If you want to have a traditional wedding cake you could decorate an ivory cake with rose gold details, blush ribbons or perhaps flowers from your bridal bouquet. Another option is to make your cake a key focal point by having a sweetie table with the cake placed in the centre and surrounded by rose gold or pale pink sweets such as candyfloss, strawberry bons bons or pink shrimps. The options really are endless when it comes to sweet treats, from pastel pink macaroons, iced cupcakes, or rose gold confetti scattered on the table.

“Your accessories should reflect your personality and amplify your natural beauty”

Just like your dress for the big day, your accessories should help to reflect your personality and amplify your natural beauty. Whilst you may think “how hard can this be?”, there are a lot of factors to take into consideration when purchasing jewellery for such a special occasion. You have probably spent months trawling through the various pages of BRIDE or browsing the likes of Stella York, Maggie Sottero, Mori Lee or Essence of Australia online to help you ascertain exactly what you are looking for when it come to your dress – only to walk into a local boutique and no doubt like me purchase something entirely different. Am I right?

But selecting the right accessories can help to ensure that your bridal look is pulled together nicely and looks polished. Things to consider include your dress and its neckline, your face shape, hair length, skin tone and even your chosen colour palette for the wedding itself.

Sweetheart Necklines: If you decide to wear a statement necklace then pair it with simple studs to ensure you don’t detract from your beautiful dress. Alternatively, a short simple necklace that finishes just above where your dress neckline starts is always a safe option.

Plunge Neckline: Necklaces with a pendant are ideal for setting off this neckline and will complement your dress beautifully.

If you are like me and have a long face then teardrop or long drop earrings are ideal for balancing out your face shape. As explained earlier, your hairstyle is also something that should be taken into consideration. As a relaxed boho hairstyle that is down will hide studs, so bigger earrings are better suited. If you have a shorter neck then you can still opt for longer earrings and then wearing your hair up in a chignon can help to elongate it.

“Radiant Rose Gold”

These stunning rose gold teardrop earrings from the Lace and Favour Belmont collection, are surrounded by twinkling pave set crystals, making them the perfect set to complement your bridal look. What’s more, the delicate design makes them ideal for presenting to your bridesmaids on your wedding morning as they also come packaged in a luxury Ivory and Co box.

Wild Home Bracelets

Tassles, Beads and Prints – Just a few of my favourite things.

When the lovely Hannah from Wild Home contacted me about their beautiful sustainable products and asked if I would like to review some of their gorgeous accessories, I was thrilled. The timing couldn’t have been more perfect as I was jetting off to sunny Mallorca for a 2 week stay in a Spanish villa complete with its own pool later that week.

Villa Décor.

Whilst, browsing the Wild Home online store I was greeted with an array of beautiful bright bold colours and unique designs. I instantly fell in love with the Maua sandals as they had been lovingly made by a local Kenyan artisan, which meant that I could step our in style knowing that whilst I was updating my wardrobe, a very talented individual was also benefitting at the same time. Despite packing enough shoes for two weeks, the Maua sandals ended up replacing them all and proved to be great for walks around Alcudia old Town, the beach as well as for walks back from the marina in the evening.

When Hannah told me to send her my wishlist, I wasn’t expecting to get the sandals, so when these arrived in the post along with some stunning bracelets in two of my favourite colours ( blue and pink) I felt incredibly lucky. The great thing about Wild Home online is that not only does each item tell a different story, but they also try to ensure that all of their products are made from natural and sustainable materials. I can’t recommend this fabulous store enough and if you are looking for a unique Christmas gift for your loved one’s, then make sure you check out their new arrivals.

Coco Bay Swimwear Wishlist.

With our wedding planning well and truly under way and less than a year until our big day. Al and I have turned our attention to potential honeymoon destinations for our trip of a lifetime.

Santorini, Tuscany, Maldives you name it we have considered it and whilst we haven’t booked anything yet, we have managed to pin down the Caribbean as a serious contender.

Adventure Awaits.

Crystal clear waters, golden sands, lush tropical gardens along with the sound of steel pan music mean’s the Caribbean really is the perfect paradise to jet off to for some quality couple time.

Unfortunately, our wedding will fall during hurricane season, so it will be a few months before we can enjoy those breath-taking sunsets and natural wonders, but at least we have longer to save up.

Unlike the honeymoon planning, finding the perfect swimwear or beach cover up will be an absolute breeze, as the wonderful ladies from Coco Bay are on hand to help me find the perfect piece with just a few clicks. Luckily for me I am also able to mix and match pieces to suit my figure, which is especially great as I am different sizes on the top and bottom.

To say that I was pleased that I discovered Coco Bay over 5 years ago is a huge understatement, their Seafolly pieces are a firm favourite of mine and after lusting over the gorgeous vintage wildflower printed swimsuit for the best part of 2017, I was over the moon when my generous fiancé Al presented me with a beautifully wrapped package from none other than Coco Bay and after eating far too many goodies at tastings, my bikini body confidence had taken a bit of a dive, so this swimsuit will be perfect for strolls along the beach.

Tropical Vibes.

I absolutely love reading these posts, so I thought I would share with you a few of my favourite fashion and beauty purchases from May.

First up is this stunning floral wrap dress from Primark for £13 which caught my eye because of its gorgeous ruffles and Latin inspired style. Initially I was going to wear this to the Maison de Choup launch but decided to opt for jeans and a top combo due to the poor weather that was forecast for my journey up to London. However, I will definitely be wearing this in Mallorca later this year with a pair of black strappy heels.

Life is too short to wear boring clothes.

Next up is a few impulse beauty purchases. After being pampered by the lovely ladies at my local Benefit Brow Bar and Urban Decay prior to my trip up to London. I decided to invest in the following products.

Urban Decay Total Pervision duo set £22

Urban Decay All Nighter setting spray £23.50

Benefit Gimme Brow £20

The great thing is I was also given a free makeover by Urban Decay after purchasing two products, this was particularly enjoyable as I was able to attend the MDC launch looking lovely and glam thanks to the lovely Louise.

Last but not least is this stunning tribal inspired print bikini from Accessorize. I really love bright colours and the pink tassels add just the right amount of sass to complete my beach look. I will be pairing this with a big floppy straw hat and a cheeky pina colada.

These are just a small selection of my latest favourites. If you would like to see another post like this then please do leave a comment. I hope you are all having a lovely relaxing Bank Holiday.

Of course, a new season naturally requires a few new pieces for your wardrobe and these gorgeous blush suede mules from Oasis are guaranteed to put a Spring in your step.

There classic chic design makes them perfect for slipping into for strolls in the park or an evening spent sipping a Gin and Tonic in your local beer garden.
