Welcome to Higher Moor Farm Campsite

Those who know me are often surprised to hear me say that I love camping and I must confess I have always been a lover of sun, tapas and beautiful beaches. However, a little break in sunny Dorset last year at the lovely Higher Moor Farm Campsite was about to change all of that. I can honestly say that after visiting this site twice now, I will definitely be making this an annual vacation spot. Both me and Al always come back feeling completely relaxed and unlike many other campsites I have been to, Higher Moor feels like staying with family.

Pure relaxation.

On arrival you are greeted by the manager Daniel who is always smiling and both him and Laura are so friendly, you can’t help but stop by for a quick chat whilst buying your fresh loaf of bread and bacon for breakfast. As for the on- site shop, it not only stocks everyday essentials but it is also great for treating yourself to something extra special.

Accommodation wise you can either pitch a tent or stay in your own caravan or motor home and if it’s glamping you are after then make sure you check out their wonderful pod lodges. Small in size they may be, but their compact design means your every need is catered for.Unfortunately, me and Al missed out on their wonderful wood fire pizza, vintage marquee and fish and chips due to staying at the end of season. But as holidays go this is  definitely one I will remember in years to come!

Given a choice between Summer and Autumn and I usually pick Summer. However, this year I am feeling very excited about crisp Autumn walks in the country, snuggling in front of the fire with Al and Toby, chai lattes, seeing all of the new things that come in at my local garden centre and most of all I am looking forward to this year’s trends for Autumn.

Now, my new found love for all things Fall related in the fashion arena are thanks to my local ‘New Look’ store and their stunning ranges that are currently available. After discovering some of their gorgeous new pieces, I not only felt inspired for Fall, but I also felt that now was the perfect time to step out of my comfort zone and give a few new trends a whirl. If you want to find out exactly what I snapped up, then keep on reading.

Fall Florals

The Susanna bag is the perfect transitional piece for Fall.

Black is Back

As a lover of florals the first thing that I was naturally drawn to, was this stunning embroidered top. Like most people I naturally assumed that this trend was better left to the warmer months. However, as I quickly discovered, it looks like this is set to be a big trend for this season. I think this will look great with a leather or suede jacket.

Bardot

Next I decided to invest in another bardot style top, as I have been wearing my Oasis top alot this season and think it is such an effortless trend and I have already worn this top with jeans and shorts. This print is so pretty and I know that I will be wearing this alot throughout Fall.

Shine in Metallics

When it comes to all things shiny, I tend to favor adding a few jewels for that extra sparkle. However, I absolutely love this top, as it is such a soft light material and is incredibly comfortable to wear and perfect for that understated look. I love that it can be worn with some heels and would look great at a party.

Lace

Normally if I want to add a pop of colour to my fall wardrobe, I will opt for colours such as burgundy or red and when it comes to various shades of yellow I’m rather cautious, owning to the fact that I’m blonde. However, one thing I have discovered is that not only do I love this colour but darker shades of yellow (mustard) actually look pretty hot.

Bella – Blu: Beautiful – Blues from Franchetti Bond.

Last Saturday Al and I decided it would be the perfect opportunity for us to visit our wedding venue with our parents, as the weather was just beautiful and we are getting married in August 2018, so we thought it would help to inspire us further and enable us to ascertain what feasible options were available. Needless to say both of our parents loved it and as for us, it was love at first sight all over again.

Talking of love at first sight, you may have seen my last post about the insta-worthy bag from Franchetti Bond. Well as I turned 27 last Thursday I couldn’t resist paying Franchetti Bond a visit over in Alresford. I am so glad I did as the staff were really helpful and it was such a lovely boutique, it really was a birthday well spent and I even picked up this lovely classic bag from their Susanna range, which is available in three colours (taupe, navy and sand) meaning there really is a colour to suit everyone.

Whilst I absolutely love my floral Elina bag I wanted a more traditional bag that I could pair with all of my outfits. The Susanna’s classic design in soft Italian leather is so stylish and elegant it provides an effortless addition to any outfit and was ideal for pairing with my bright floral top from Oasis. I decided to complete my weekend look with some comfy flats from Primark and some jeans from Marks and Spencer.

What’s more the Susanna’s lightweight structure means it was perfect for carrying all of my bits in whilst looking around the venue site for a few hours. The strap also meant that I had the choice of either wearing it on my shoulder or carrying it, as I wandered around the peaceful Summer gardens.

If you want the perfect transitional piece for Fall, then make sure you snap it up now as Franchetti Bond are offering a generous saving of £70 in their Summer Sale and this stunning range is flying off the shelves as we speak.

A floral themed weekend.

If you already follow me over on Instagram, then you will know that my three favourite things are Food, Fashion and Florals and last weekend certainly didn’t disappoint. After being surprised with a stunning bag from Franchetti Bond that I have been secretly lusting after for quite some time now, I decided that it was only appropriate that it’s first outing should be to the gorgeous Mayfield Lavender Farm who are based over in Surrey.

Now, judging by the beautiful photographs on Instagram, I am sure you have probably already heard of them and therefore have an inkling to what their business is all about. However, did you know that their Lavender themed food and drink options are out of this world? I highly recommend their delicious lavender ice cream and their refreshing lemonade or Cider.

As for my ‘Elina Tote’ if you thought it was just another throw everything in and hope for the best kind of bag, then think again. It is not just the exterior that impresses, inside the bag there is a pocket that is big enough to hold my iPhone 6+, an internal pocket to keep my purse or valuables, plenty of room big enough to hold my everyday essentials such as my makeup, phone charger, iPad etc and a chain to ensure that my keys are quick and easy to grab when on the go. The external front pocket is also great for holding those little things you want close to hand such as tissues, lipgloss or some loose change for the parking meter.

I hope you have enjoyed this post. If you would like to get your hands on your very own Franchetti Bond bag, then make sure you click on the link below and check out their website as they have a fantastic Summer Sale on and are offering £10 off your first purchase if you join their fashion community.

Love, Emma.

After quickly popping into H&M last Sunday, I managed to snap up some super snazzy shorts that tick all of the boxes when it comes to style and comfort. As someone who usually likes to follow the traditional route when it comes to style, I decided it was time that I stepped out of my comfort zone and tried something new and exciting.

However, now that I am fast approaching the grand old age of 27 next month, I feel like it’s time my style became more refined. But if you thought shorts where better left to the younger crowd, then think again. I am here to show you that shorts can be sexy, sassy and sophisticated or whatever you want them to be. Come on what are you waiting for? Go snap up a pair before the Great British weather turns drizzly again.
