Mental Health has been an issue for quite some time now and it is thanks to people like George David Hodgson who has placed social responsibility at the core of his brand Maison de Choup that society is finally standing together to fight the stigma surrounding mental health issues such as anxiety and depression.

I am very proud of Maison de Choup’s latest collection that promotes positivity and, as an individual that has fought depression since 2010 on and off, this is a cause that is very close to my heart. What make’s this collection so great is that 25% of the profits go to Young Minds to help support children and teenagers with mental health issues.

Check out the new collection for SS17 here!

I hope you have had a great Monday.

Green sequined Tree Sweater £14.99

With ‘Christmas jumper day’ just around the corner (December 16th) I decided to set myself the task of searching my local high street for the cutest Christmas jumpers. Now I will confess, I didn’t jump on this bandwagon until last year, but I am so excited to wear my festive jumpers this year. If you don’t already know ‘Save the Children’ hold this event each year and you can help them raise money for children in poverty by donating £1 either to your local school, youth group or directly to them online.

Unfortunately, there was a short supply of the annual Christmas jumpers today, but if you check out your local Supermarket or Online then you should still be able to find something festive to wear. My personal favourites this year include Next, Primark, Tesco’s and Boohoo. If you would like to purchase any of the gorgeous picks from above, then all you have to do is click on the picture and it will take you directly to the site – Happy Shopping.

Will you be getting involved this year with ‘Christmas Jumper Day’? I would love to see your Christmas Jumper Selfies! Happy hump day.

A day out in my favourite seaside city.

image

A classic carousel.

So judging by the weather on Monday, it looks like Summer has decided to make a swift departure, following our rather usual heat wave from last week. However, the prompt arrival of cooler climes were greeted by myself with much enthusiasm, as I have been eager to wear my gorgeous new slip-ons from Franchetti Bond for quite some time.

I decided that as I was due to take a long overdue trip to Brighton, it was the perfect opportunity for me to put these shoes to the test and see if they really were as comfortable as I imagined them to be. So, earlier this week we headed down to my favourite seaside city and enjoyed a fun afternoon looking around the lanes, drinking chai lattes, discovering the haunts of various artists and of course checking out the amusements on the pier. The day was concluded with some sugared donuts from the pier, because we all know you can’t visit Brighton without consuming something sweet as well as some fish and chips.

The new Ciri slip-on is the perfect transitional piece for this season.

Seaside strolls.

As for the stunning Ciri suede slip-ons, I noticed that they did attract quite a few admiring glances and as for comfort they were incredible. It was so nice to be able to wander the lanes of Brighton and explore the city without having to end the day on a sore note. Whilst recent trends seem to favour peep-toe boots, this isn’t really practical with the British weather as it means you will be needing to invest in some new footwear for the colder season.

However, these grey skater style shoes will tick all of the boxes when it comes to style, comfort and practicality, providing you with the perfect transitional piece that is guaranteed to take you from Summer to the end of the year. What’s more, the subtle diamante detailing adds a touch of glamour that is perfect for the daytime and great for taking you from office to after work drinks.

Exploring Brighton Lanes.

I decided to pair my new Ciri shoes with a simple navy top, some jeans and a classic leather jacket. I absolutely loved this look, as it had a relaxed casual feel to it and yet it also felt effortless in terms of the style stakes. I can’t wait to wear these throughout the rest of 2016 and I just know that they will be a staple piece in my wardrobe in months to come.

A floral themed weekend.

If you already follow me over on Instagram, then you will know that my three favourite things are Food, Fashion and Florals and last weekend certainly didn’t disappoint. After being surprised with a stunning bag from Franchetti Bond that I have been secretly lusting after for quite some time now, I decided that it was only appropriate that it’s first outing should be to the gorgeous Mayfield Lavender Farm who are based over in Surrey.

Now, judging by the beautiful photographs on Instagram, I am sure you have probably already heard of them and therefore have an inkling to what their business is all about. However, did you know that their Lavender themed food and drink options are out of this world? I highly recommend their delicious lavender ice cream and their refreshing lemonade or Cider.

As for my ‘Elina Tote’ if you thought it was just another throw everything in and hope for the best kind of bag, then think again. It is not just the exterior that impresses, inside the bag there is a pocket that is big enough to hold my iPhone 6+, an internal pocket to keep my purse or valuables, plenty of room big enough to hold my everyday essentials such as my makeup, phone charger, iPad etc and a chain to ensure that my keys are quick and easy to grab when on the go. The external front pocket is also great for holding those little things you want close to hand such as tissues, lipgloss or some loose change for the parking meter.

I hope you have enjoyed this post. If you would like to get your hands on your very own Franchetti Bond bag, then make sure you click on the link below and check out their website as they have a fantastic Summer Sale on and are offering £10 off your first purchase if you join their fashion community.

Love, Emma.

After quickly popping into H&M last Sunday, I managed to snap up some super snazzy shorts that tick all of the boxes when it comes to style and comfort. As someone who usually likes to follow the traditional route when it comes to style, I decided it was time that I stepped out of my comfort zone and tried something new and exciting.

However, now that I am fast approaching the grand old age of 27 next month, I feel like it’s time my style became more refined. But if you thought shorts where better left to the younger crowd, then think again. I am here to show you that shorts can be sexy, sassy and sophisticated or whatever you want them to be. Come on what are you waiting for? Go snap up a pair before the Great British weather turns drizzly again.
