With just over 2 weeks to go until Christmas, the Christmas light displays have been switched on, the annual Coca-Cola advert has aired and bloggers up and down the country have already been working hard on this month’s content for Blogmas.

Meanwhile, behind the scenes, we are all manically striving to find that perfect gift for our loved ones, locate that dress for our office party and make sure we have perfected that recipe for the Christmas cake. It is no wonder that for many the Christmas countdown can leave us feeling burnt-out. Don’t panic! I have just the thing for you, so put your feet up, pour yourself a drink and don’t forget the Quality Street, because I have some fantastic stocking fillers for you today from the lovely people over at MAD BEAUTY.

First up are the rather delightful hand sanitizers that not only feature a festive design but also smell incredible (cranberry, marshmallow and Cherry) and at £2.99 each they won’t break the bank.

Next up are some Disney themed goodies, these were such a lovely surprise as I absolutely loved Minnie Mouse when I was a little girl and desperately needed a hair band to help keep the hair off my face when applying my makeup, so when MAD BEAUTY sent me the cutest Minnie themed headband I couldn’t wait to try it on and again at £4.99 I think it is very reasonable in terms of price.

If you know someone that was born in the 80’s or 90’s then chances are they will probably remember the good old days of slush puppies after school. So if you are looking for a gift that will leave them feeling nostalgic then defiantly consider the trio of lip balms for £7.99. They would make a brilliant secret Santa gift.

Lastly, If you are looking for something to warm up those cold snowy winter nights, then MAD BEAUTY have also created a range that includes a pack of bath salts and a Christmas cracker featuring a mini hand cream with a fresh strawberry fragrance. I absolutely love the cute packaging as it means that you could potentially consider skipping the gift wrapping altogether.

Whether you are looking for vintage wash bags, stationary or affordable stocking fillers and gifts, MAD BEAUTY has you covered.

If you are wondering why there wasn’t a post last night, I was invited by the lovely Katie Kirk and Lush to a bloggers event in Crawley, as part of the launch of this year’s naked Christmas range.

More of that in a separate post later, but today behind door number 3 are these delightful Christmas decorations by Wild Home Online. If you are searching for a unique Christmas tree topper then these are perfect. I absolutely love their bright neon colours and the fact that they are made by local artisans, in Kenya out, from banana leaves and sisal.

If you are looking for a unique gift on a tight budget, then at £3.95 these are a great idea as you can also stand them together to create a stunning display. There are four designs to choose from including praying, harpist, trumpeter and star.

In addition to these beautiful charismatic angels, Wild Home Online also sell vibrant jewellery, bags, baskets, beaded sandals, homeward pieces and accessories – meaning that there is a gift for every occasion and recipient.

To see the full range make sure you pop over to their website.

You can also follow them over on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook.

I hope you are all having a lovely weekend enjoying the firework displays with your family or friends.

Good evening, guys and welcome back to day 2 of the advent calendar reveal. Behind today’s door I have the XO Balm which is brilliant for keeping your hands moisturised, whilst also offering protection against the harsh elements that come with Winter.

If you are looking for a gift for a beauty lover, then this is absolutely perfect as XO Balm contains four natural ingredients: coconut oil, beeswax, olive oil and chia seed oil. This multipurpose formula can offer hydration and nourishment for your skin or hair, making it a must have beauty essential for those Christmas office parties.

Also, thanks to its neutral branding and packaging this could be a great stocking filler for that special man in your life and the synthetic free formula means it is perfect for sensitive skin like mine. One of the things I particularly love about XO Balm is that it was founded with a passion for solutions, whilst also offering a sustainable alternative for our beauty needs.

At £12.50 XO Balm also ensures that local UK Businesses are supported as all materials are sourced from local suppliers, sustainable packaging is used to help reduce their environmental impact and they support a local charity ‘Give Bees a Chance’ to help keep bee populations healthy.

This little tin is so much more than what meets the eye and if you give XO Balm to a loved one this Christmas, you can guarantee that it will come sealed with love.

Reasons why I love XO Balm

  • Natural Ingredients.
  • Non-greasy formula.
  • Sustainable packaging.
  • Against animal testing.
  • Suitable for sensitive skin.
  • The tin can be washed out and reused for storage.

imageWith ‘Mother’s Day’ just around the corner, my inbox filling up with several emails on the must have flowers for Mum and lunch breaks strolling the high street only to be greeted with ‘Mother’s Day’  gift displays in shop windows , I can’t help myself feeling spoilt for choice when it come to finding that perfect gift for my Mum, that conveys just how much I love and appreciate her.

You see my Mum is also my best friend and I want to spoil her and show her just how  much I care. Unfortunately, at the age of 27 I feel that flowers, chocolates and cute teddy bears just won’t cut it. As for Breakfast in bed well my Mum is usually up before me and wouldn’t dream of sleeping in. So I thought I  would put my thinking cap on and share with you some of my ideas for Mum, just on the off-chance that you to may be struggling.

Help Mum get some well deserved rest.

Pamper her

This might involve paying for her to have her hair or nails done, buying her favourite makeup products, offering to give her a manicure or even running her a nice candlelit bath with no interruptions, why not cook her favourite meal whilst you’re at it.

Flowers

Instead of buying her a standard bouquet, why not find out what her favourite flowers are and get a florist to put together something unique for her. Failing that if you are on a tight budget then a cute bunch of daffodils are guaranteed to make her day.

Your time

If there is one thing that money can’t buy, but is guaranteed to put a smile on her face, then it has got to be your time. Whether you live with her and are on your phone constantly or going out with friends of you have moved out and are busy with your own family, try to make some time for her and maybe bake her a cake or create a homemade Afternoon tea.

Above all else remember to spend time with your best friend throughout the year and show her how much you appreciate her everyday. I hope you have a great weekend with those special ladies in your life and hopefully this has provided some inspiration. I would love to know what you are all doing.

If there is one thing that I love about the build up to Christmas, then it is buying the perfect gift for my closest family and friends. However, when it comes to my Dad, Fiancé and future Brother-in-law then I really struggle to buy them something that isn’t the same as last year. Is it just me or are us ladies so much easier to buy for? Factor in the fact that Christmas can be an expensive time, I decided to try and come up with some creative and cost effective gift ideas for him all under £30.

Stocking Fillers

  1. His favourite sweets or savoury snacks – Beef jerky, ginger,  marzipan fruits, Percy pigs
  2. Scratchcards or Lottery tickets – ‘Poundland’ is great for scratchcards
  3. Socks – Primark have some cute novelty sets for £5
  4. Something relevant to his hobbies – a bike repair kit, personalised football merchandise from his local club or a cookbook
  5. Books or bookmarks for the avid reader
  6. Cool and quirky stationery from ‘Paperchase’ for the stationary lover.
