Welcome to Higher Moor Farm Campsite

Those who know me are often surprised to hear me say that I love camping and I must confess I have always been a lover of sun, tapas and beautiful beaches. However, a little break in sunny Dorset last year at the lovely Higher Moor Farm Campsite was about to change all of that. I can honestly say that after visiting this site twice now, I will definitely be making this an annual vacation spot. Both me and Al always come back feeling completely relaxed and unlike many other campsites I have been to, Higher Moor feels like staying with family.

On arrival you are greeted by the manager Daniel who is always smiling and both him and Laura are so friendly, you can’t help but stop by for a quick chat whilst buying your fresh loaf of bread and bacon for breakfast. As for the on- site shop, it not only stocks everyday essentials but it is also great for treating yourself to something extra special.

Accommodation wise you can either pitch a tent or stay in your own caravan or motor home and if it’s glamping you are after then make sure you check out their wonderful pod lodges. Small in size they may be, but their compact design means your every need is catered for.Unfortunately, me and Al missed out on their wonderful wood fire pizza, vintage marquee and fish and chips due to staying at the end of season. But as holidays go this is  definitely one I will remember in years to come!

It really is such a wonderful place and I already miss it. I have done a little video on YouTube about their pods in case you are interested (La Blonde Voyage Emma) is my channel. The photographs really don’t do it justice 😊💖 Thank you for your lovely comment.
